Along with my friends and inspiring colleagues, Sara and Chameli, I recently co-hosted a month-long project on Facebook called I Love My Body: 30 Days to Vibrant Health. Each day, one of us posted a self-care practice along with a Vibrant Tip to inspire the over 600 members of our group. On the final day, I invited the women to choose a few to commit to carrying forward, even as our month together came to a close.
I made a list, too, and included a few things that didn’t come up during our project, but that feel important to me now.
Ways I am Committing to Love My Body This Summer:
1. sunscreen!
2. more sex with my husband
3. plenty of my favorite sweet cool-down treats: ice cream, watermelon, fro yo, lemonade
4. lots of yoga
5. afternoon naps with my little one
6. riding my bike to work
I always remind myself that taking on too much usually backfires, so I’ve chosen things that I really feel are reasonable to do, and that I believe will benefit me in noticeable ways.
