My life is juicy. I was reminded of this today in a piece of fan mail. I mean, that in and of itself is juicy! I get fan mail! When did my life get so good!?
I’ve had a crummy couple of weeks. A summer cold, way too much stuff on my plate, not nearly enough stuff in the bank, emotional family confrontations, interpersonal stresses and intense Sacramento heat (can you say one-hundred-and-eight-degrees?) have led me into a spell of the blues.
But today, I received one of the more enthusiastic letters from a fan I’ve ever been lucky enough to get, and it’s made me take a fresh look at my life.

A few images from my juicy life…

I do eat almond butter with chocolate chips off a wooden spoon (as my fan mail suggested, and oh, I don’t know who I’d be without nuts and chocolate!) and I have the sexiest husband alive (rawr). My baby smells like heaven and is a total freak-out spazoid like her mom (adorable!). I have the best friends in the world who listen to me whine on the phone, the best job on the planet (are “planet” and “world” synonyms?) and 108 degrees feels a lot better this summer than it did last when I was pregnant and pukey.
On top of that, in three days I fly back to home sweet Virginia for a vacation, where I get to go tubing on the James river and celebrate one of my best friend’s wedding.
So, to the darling woman from New York who sent me a note and saved me from my funk: you, too, are pretty darn juicy.
