Of all the related books I've read, this one has truly hit deeply with me. In particular, your focus on how, with recovery, we come to experience pain and our feelings....I feel like I hurt so much more and the depression can get so bad. I read in another book "Insatiable" where the Author was gaining but binging every day as well. People were telling her she was looking better though - and she felt confused, because she felt awful...then she realized it's because she was actually feeling now - whereas before she was immune to this...
