About Peach

Peach photoPeach Friedman, a spokesperson for the National Eating Disorders Association, is the author of Diary of an Exercise Addict and the Outreach Specialist for Magnolia Creek Residential Treatment Center for Eating Disorders. She is a nationally recognized educator and intuitive fitness specialist, focusing on health and wellness for women. Her approach to the moving body prioritizes awareness and pleasure, and guides women toward a balanced relationship with fitness that is void of guilt, fear, and punishment. Her book recounts her own descent into and inspiring recovery from anorexia and compulsive exercise, and has received international acclaim. In addition, Peach lectures regularly at universities and conferences, and teaches weekly yoga classes in Auburn, Alabama. She has been featured twice in People magazine, as well as on The View, 20/20, BBC radio, and Oprah’s Radio Network. Her book was reviewed in Fit Yoga magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the London Times. In addition, Peach holds an BA in Writing from Naropa University, and an MFA in Creative Writing from California College of the Arts. Peach lives with her husband and two children in Auburn, Alabama.
