I'm Engaged!

Jeffrey asked me to marry him on Saturday evening, camping high on Mt. Shasta, and I said yes! Just before dinner he told me that he loved me and that he had my father's blessing. He pulled out the most beautiful ring, and I cried my eyes out! But I couldn't be happier.

Here's a photo of us shortly after our big moment:

And here's my favorite photo of us, last year near Half Moon Bay:

I look forward to a long, happy marriage with the love of my life!

This Morning's Workout!

I thought I'd post my workout this morning, since it's a very typical example of the kind of workout I frequently do. Today I brought my boyfriend along with me, and he totally showed me up in the push-up department!

This is a full body workout that takes about an hour to do.

Peach's Full-Body Morning Energizer Workout

1) 10 min elliptical, steadily building resistance/speed until you're at a comfortably challenging pace. (You can run/cycle/step if you prefer.)

2) 1-3 mins jump rope. Go, go, go!

3) 10-20 pushups

Now repeat these three segments four times.

Finish with 5-10 minutes of your favorite ab exercises, and some nice gentle stretches.

Sometimes I mix this up by splitting the 10 mins on the elliptical between two cardio machines, such as the bicycle and the rower, for example. And if I have more time, I'll add in an additional strength exercise, like squats, lunges, or dips.

May 2007

I woke up this morning and said out loud, "Holy cow, it's May already!" I guess I realized it one day late (today is the 2nd, not the 1st), but at least I finally caught up with time! Isn't it remarkable how quickly the months pass? And the years--I'll be 28 next month!

Few things I wanted to mention:
This past Monday I sat on a panel for Love Your Body Week at Sierra College in Rocklin. I had an opportunity to meet some amazing and interesting people, and was sincerely impressed by the quality of questions and comments from the students in attendence.

Later this month I'll be back in Virginia! I'm planning to meet with Kate Bruno's group while I'm home, and hope to connect with some other folks in the eating disorder community as well.

I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather. Feel free to email me with any questions; I always love hearing from new people!
