Training and consultation sessions are held in the comfort and convenience of your own home, or at a local park or track. I bring equipment when necessary (light weights, balance ball, resistance bands, sticky mats), or we use yours.


I work with each of my clients to develop a personalized fitness program that's right for you. No two bodies are the same, and everyone's needs are different. We'll work together to create a program that benefits your body.

Wellness Consultations

Like all of my services, my Wellness Consultations are tailored to your specific needs. We'll address diet, sleep, fitness, stress, self-esteem, and other related subjects (including alcohol consumption, smoking, etc.), in order to help bring more energy, peace, motivation and happiness into your life. Strength Training

Light weight training is an excellent way to isolate muscle groups in order to strengthen and tone specific areas of the body. I also use resistance bands, stability balls, and other portable equipment to allow for variation in these exercises. With newfound strength, you'll boost your metabolism, and notice an increase of energy, as well as decrease your chances for developing osteoporosis and heart disease. (close)

Cardiovascular Conditioning

Getting the heart pumping is an important part of fitness. Not only does increasing cardiovascular endurance benefit your health in countless ways, including reducing blood pressure and stress levels, but it can be fun, too! Whether you want to train for your first 5K or regain the energy you had skipping rope as a kid, I'll create a cardio plan that's right for you, including educating on proper amounts of cardiovascular exercise: how much is too much vs. how much is not enough for your body. Pilates

Guided balance and Pilates exercises both with and without props target the core of your body. The abdominal muscles protect the body's organs, and help you stand tall, without collapsing between the ribs and pelvis. I'll help you bring tone to the torso, which will improve posture, protect against back injury, and contribute to overall body strength as well as balance. (close)

Yoga-Influenced Flexibility Training

Stretching is a crucial aspect of becoming and staying fit! Give your muscles room to breathe through guided stretch. Drawing on ten years experience practicing various styles of yoga, we'll personalize this component of our sessions to fit your level. From deep, vigorous postures that require strength as well as flexibility to gentle, restorative and relaxing stretches, you'll benefit from a sense of length in the body you never knew possible! When the body is warm and stretched, you'll notice improved mobility, posture, and ease in the joints. (close)

Body Awareness Exercises

For those who feel particularly 'out of touch' with their bodies, just beginning an exercise program, or afraid of what they might feel if they do 'get into' their bodies, I offer guided body awareness exercises. Simple, grounded ways to recognize your body as your own. Especially beneficial for anyone with eating disorders or body image distortions. (close)

Weekly Fitness Plans

For those who wish to work out on their own between sessions, I create individualized fitness plans each week and send via email. This best compliments once per week sessions, but for very motivated clients it can work with twice per month sessions. (close)

Body Image Support

I offer individual or small group support sessions geared toward guiding you into a healthier relationship with your body. We'll use writing, drawing, crafts, movement, and conversation to uncover the fears and joys associated with accepting and learning to love your body! An excellent addition to weekly Personal Training Sessions. Note: I am not a licensed counselor or therapist. These sessions do not replace therapy treatment for any eating disorder or other mental health condition. (close)

Fitness and Eating Disorders Education

Do you work in a school, health club, or other business or organization where your staff needs to be educated on the benefits of exercise, including how to reduce blood pressure, stress, and the chances of developing osteoporosis or heart disease? What about the symptoms, risks, and warning signs of eating disorders? I offer comprehensive seminars and workshops geared toward fitness education, and/or increasing the awareness of a variety of eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating, compulsive & addictive exercise, and others. Comprehensive fitness education sessions cover the basics of exercise and practical advice for how to incorporate lifestyle changes on your quest toward wellness. Eating disorder education sessions cover not only how to recognize an eating disorder in yourself or another, but suggestions for arranging proper treatment. I typically share my own recovery story, and always leave time for questions. Talks and workshops cater to the needs of each particular audience. (close)
